Hello everyone. Over the past few days in Ireland, the mainstream media news cycle has been dominated by the political parties organizing their so-called thinkings. Now, thinkins are relatively modern concept where you have political parties meeting in advance of resuming the doll term next week and where they discuss policy and their strategy for the the incoming doll term. Now these are annual events and they get so much media attention. Not really surprising when you consider so much has.
Been spent from the establishment towards the 725 million euro over the next three years. And we know about the millions of euro being spent towards Virgin Media as well so-called public service broadcasters. Well, they're safe pair of hands for the political establishments because you have correspondents in various locations around Ireland at these thinkings where a lot of these pre-budget submissions are put forward by various political parties. But really what it's all about is shaping public opinion to serve the.
Interests of the big corporate interests who always benefit from these policies. We've seen as well how the closeness between the political establishment and the corporations, but fundamentally they work for them. That's essentially how it works and they frame this debate around what essentially they deem is the acceptable manner of discourse. So they don't talk about the real issues. They don't talk about the issues in terms of the fiscal rules where we're essentially controlled by the European Union under.

So much for Ireland being a society being a country being a nation that we're proud of that serves the needs of the people. We're billion miles away from the intentions of the proclamation where we should cherish the children of the nation equally. But unfortunately, we can see the situation now with record homelessness, record amounts of children in poverty. Not to mention the so many children who are waiting on for special needs assessment on disability care as.
Well and so many who are left behind coming up to a time of the budget where they'll throw a few crumbs at ordinary people and essentially they'll say well it's a little bit of a tax break. It's a couple hundred euro here it's a couple hundred euro there but the greater scheme of things people are getting fleeced as more and more pe money gets transferred upwards. So the sooner people wake up to this public relations stunt, the better and in particular.
