  • Micheál Martin is accelerating the erosion of Irish neutrality, Dooley argues, pointing to legislation to scrap the triple lock, Ireland signing up to the so-called coalition of the willing, and Irish troops marching in the Bastille Day parade on the Champs-Élysées in Paris alongside backers of Ukraine in what he calls the US proxy war.
  • In Ukraine over the past number of days, Dooley says, Martin offered over another 125 million euro of Irish public money to what he calls “the money-laundering machine that is Ukraine”. He puts the running total at upwards of 670 million euro in so-called non-lethal military aid and energy infrastructure, before the billions spent on accommodation for Ukrainians under a temporary protection directive now extended to March 2028.
  • Dooley puts the total at 3.2 million US troops transiting Shannon since 2002. Reported figures he cites give January to June 2026 as 15,326, a 42% drop on the 26,340 in the same months of 2025, with 44,000 across 2025 and 47,000 in 2024. He sizes them against stadium crowds — 15,326 the capacity of Newbridge in County Kildare, 26,340 around the same size as Pearse Stadium in Galway.
  • The Air Navigation Order 1952 requires ministerial permission for military planes to land in Ireland, sought “next to never” in Dooley’s account. He expects Helen McEntee, at the helm of the Department of Defence and Foreign Affairs, to turn a blind eye. He ties Shannon to Iraq, Palestine and Iran, and to the neutrality Wolfe Tone pursued in the 1790s, “inextricably linked with the struggle for Irish independence”.

Hello everyone

Hello everyone. Success of Irish governments have played fast and loose with Irish neutrality. In recent times, we've seen Micheál Martin really speed up this process of eroding whatever's left of Irish neutrality in the context of bringing forward legislation to get rid of the triple lock. Also, we've seen him sign Ireland up to the so-called coalition of the willing. Recently, we saw the big military parade in the Champs-Élysées in Paris on Bastille Day where Irish troops took part in this.

Event lined up with many of those who support Ukraine in the context of US's proxy war that's in Ukraine currently. But, Martin also has been in Ukraine over the past number of days offering over another 125 million euro of Irish public money towards the money-laundering machine that is Ukraine. Upwards of 670 million euro at least have been given across in so-called non-lethal military aid and also in terms of building up the energy infrastructure of Ukraine. This isn't.

Including the billions that have been spent on accommodation for Ukrainians that have come here as beneficiaries of the temporary protection directive which has been extended now until March of 2028. But, at the same time, the Irish government have really been complicit in many wars well in advance of what's taking place in Ukraine. In the context of using Shannon as a US base. Since 2002, 3.2 million US troops have transited through Shannon. Absolutely astounding figures of US military personnel going.

Through Shannon Airport. Now, we know because the Irish government are more interested in being best friends with the US multinationals, the vulture funds at the expense of ordinary people here in Ireland. And we've seen how many of those have made massive windfalls in Ireland using Ireland as a tax haven to push forward their massive profits while ordinary working people essentially suffer. And the Irish government's agenda has been to make Ireland the corporate state where they support the multinationals at.

Every turn, while at the same time has ran down our own indigenous industries and any likelihood of even having our own energy or fuel security here in Ireland, which were wide open to any global shocks in terms of what's taking place. But Ireland's dirty little secret, because there's no such thing as a free lunch, is to use Shannon as a military airbase. And as I stated earlier, 3.2 million troops have transited through Shannon since 2002. Absolutely shocking.

When you think we're supposed to be a neutral

When you think we're supposed to be a neutral country. For me, how Martin always says, "We're not politically neutral, but we're military neutral." Which is a complete misnomer, because either we're neutral or we're not. We already know that the the RAF controls Irish airspace. We also know that NATO warships have made many incursions into Irish ports over the past number of years, which has gone completely unremarked upon by the Irish media and the majority of the political class.

And at the same time we see the war taking place in Iran, and many more troops are transiting through Shannon Airport, not to mention the military flights as well with weapons and munitions on board. But wait for it, it's getting better as according to so-called official figures, because from January to June of 2025, there has been a drop of 42% of 2026 rather, of 42% of troops transiting through Shannon Airport was 15,326 according to latest reports.

Now, in the context of the All-Ireland football final which is taking place this weekend in Croke Park which hosts a capacity of around 82,300 people. This would be the capacity of Newbridge in County Kildare. They've come through already this year. So, 15,326. In the same time between January and June 2025, there was 26,340 around the same size as Pearse Stadium in Galway. Really, really big figures, aren't they?

And in 2025 as as a whole, there was 44,000 have come through Shannon Airport. In 2024, it was 47,000. Not to mention perhaps many rendition flights came through Shannon Airport in that period as well. We'll never know. And also, in terms of the laws in Ireland in relation to the air navigation order 1952 which requires ministerial permission for military planes to land in Ireland. But, when is it ever sought in Ireland?

Next to never. And with Helen McEntee at the helm in the Department of Defense and Foreign Affairs, I'm sure that she will cast a blind eye to what's taking place in Ireland which is the same as many of these authorities or aviation authorities in Ireland which are supposed to protect and control Irish airspace. They'll turn a blind eye to what's taking place. But, this is the reality of what's on the ground. We're complicit in what's taking place in these wars in the Middle.

05:24

East in terms of what's taking place in Palestine

East in terms of what's taking place in Palestine and also in Iran currently as the war escalates out of control. But yet, the Irish government will just turn a blind eye and try and move on from this story. It's not a big story. We all remember about the million people plus killed in the illegal war in Iraq. And not to mention the Secretary of State at the time in the US, Madeleine Albright, said about a million.

Children's lives were worth it for pushing the US agenda in Iraq under the misnomer of the weapons of mass destruction. We all remember that, don't we? But, everybody moves on quickly in terms of what's taking place in society and in news. So, this is more of the same from the Irish government trying to again be the best friends for the multinationals, for the vulture funds, for the bankers at the expense of ordinary people and standing up for side.

“But, everybody moves on quickly in terms of what's taking place in society and in news”

Of the warmongers rather than standing up on the sides of peace and really Irish neutrality, which is the same as neutrality which was pursued by Wolfe Tone back in the 1790s with a Spanish pamphlet written about the importance of our neutrality, which is inextricably linked with the struggle for Irish independence. So, now over 235 years on from what Wolfe Tone wrote about during the Spanish war, this is important more important now than ever in terms of standing up for.

Irish independence, Irish neutrality. We should always be standing up against any imperial power looking for war, not to mention using our own space, our own land to prosecute illegal wars in the Middle East currently. And not to mention many have taken place since the Second World War, at least 96 from the United States side. And so, not to mention the president will be traveling to Ireland in his uh golf to his golf course, I imagine, in September when the Irish.

Open is being played. Well, this is carried out, and I'm sure the politicians will be queuing up to shake hands with these uh presidents who are just essentially front men for the bigger agenda being pushed by the corporate interests of the United States, which is the same as what Irish government has done in terms of left our economy completely beholden to multinationals and to the detriment of our indigenous industries and where many of our resources have been sold off, our.

07:56

Industries have been decimated and not to mention we

Industries have been decimated and not to mention we have next to no energy or food security as well, which leaves us completely open to any global shocks which take place. But, this is Ireland's dirty little secret in terms of neutrality, which is never spoken about and not to mention the horrific crimes and deaths that are caused because of these incursions into Irish ports and airports as well. There's no way any military force should be using Irish.

Airspace, Irish ports, or let alone Shannon at all. But, this is what's taking place in Ireland currently right under our noses. So, thanks so much for all the support with my videos, really appreciate them. Please share them and let's get the information out far and wide to what's really taking place in Irish society and stand up for the interest of Irish neutrality and stand up on an anti-war platform. So, take care. Dublin today, signing off.

Ireland’s “dirty little secret”: 3.2 million US troops through Shannon.

Micheál Martin has spent the past number of days in Ukraine, where Dooley says he offered over another 125 million euro of Irish public money, and Irish troops recently marched in the Bastille Day parade on the Champs-Élysées in Paris. Dooley argues the older breach of neutrality sits at Shannon Airport, which he calls “Ireland’s dirty little secret” — the use of Shannon as a military airbase, with 3.2 million US troops transiting since 2002 and ministerial permission for those landings sought “next to never”. His frame is a corporate state that keeps the multinationals, the vulture funds and the bankers close while Irish neutrality is run down.
