  • McDonald opens by claiming Sinn Féin “led the way” in electing Catherine Connolly president — “hope for a positive alternative” — but Dooley calls that election a shambolic, undemocratic two-horse race after Jim Gavin pulled out, with other candidates blocked, and notes she said nothing about Connolly signing the International Protection Bill into law this week despite Connolly’s own stated concerns — a bill Dooley argues copper-fastens biometric digital ID and cedes border sovereignty to the EU Migration and Asylum Pact.
  • She calls for an All-Ireland Citizens’ Assembly and a referendum on a united Ireland the British government must honour — but never says what kind of Ireland, Dooley argues: one subservient to Brussels, Washington or Davos; and he moves to “correct the record” on her energy-protest boast — Sinn Féin wasn’t the first party to call a no-confidence vote, and the cracks in government were forced by ordinary working people, not any party.
  • Her cost-of-living fix — more energy credits and scrapping the carbon tax — is “no radical departure”, Dooley argues: energy credits are just a subsidy to the big energy companies, and Sinn Féin is the same party that called for the carbon tax’s introduction, while her nod to “climate justice” went unexplained beyond, he suggests, the sustainable-development-goals pin she wears on her lapel.
  • Nothing on mass immigration, employers’ windfalls, changing demographics or the out-of-control homeless figures, Dooley notes — recalling developer Johnny Ronan saying there was “nothing to fear” from Sinn Féin’s housing policy and housing spokesman Eoin Ó Broin’s meetings with developers, and neutrality talk that skipped NATO in the six counties and the PESCO deals — even as a new poll puts Sinn Féin on 25%, about nine points clear of both Fine Gael and Fianna Fáil.

Hello everyone

Hello everyone. Over the past couple of days, Sinn Féin has been holding their annual conference in Belfast at the Waterfront Hall. And yesterday evening, Mary Lou McDonald gave her leaders' address. Now, let's go into a number of issues raised during her speech. And this conference was called "Building Ireland's Future". Now, McDonald started off by speaking about Catherine Connolly's election as President of Ireland and said that this is a hope for a positive alternative.

And then she didn't go any further than that. She said Sinn Féin led the way on getting Catherine Connolly elected. And we all know about that farce and shambolic presidential election in the first instance. A completely undemocratic process that followed with just a two-horse race after Jim Gavin pulled out. And many other candidates were blocked from entering that process as well. But, we won't see any of the lack of democracy there, Mary Lou McDonald. And she never said anything about.

Connolly who signed the International Protection Bill into law this week, despite having, according to Connolly herself, concerns over this bill. Now, this will copper-fasten digital identification in terms of biometric data and complete loss of sovereignty over our nation's borders for seeding them off to the European Union Migration and Asylum Pact. She also went on to speak about the United Ireland and said this should be a better, stronger United Ireland.

And now is the time to look for an All-Ireland Citizens' Assembly and for Fianna Fáil and Fine Gael to lead the people for a referendum. And said the British government have to honor that referendum as well. And this will give real wins for unions. Now, uh McDonald didn't go any further to what kind of United Ireland she envisaged in terms of is an Ireland that's subservient to the masters in Brussels, Washington D.C., or Davos. McDonald didn't go any further.

Remember a number of years ago during the Brexit referendum when McDonald said that the majority of people in the north voted to remain in the European Union. She said that should be honored. And that created cascade of issues with the Windsor framework and various other issues that were brought forward with protocol and so forth around what took place as well. But McDonald didn't challenge the European Union, the liberal agenda. Well, would they? Because they're fully signed up members of.

The establishment

The establishment. And I spoke about the centralization of power in the executive of the European Union. Probably quite similar to what's happening themselves in terms of the power coming from the executive. And all these parties that operate in such a tightly controlled, centralized manner like many political parties in Ireland. We can see that with what's been happening in Finner Fáil for instance over the past couple of months where it's nearly impossible to remove dictator Martin from power.

Um at the same time, she went on to speak about the energy protest and said that Sinn Féin led the way with a no confidence vote in the government. But actually, they weren't the first party to call for a no confidence vote in the government. So, we'll just correct the record there, Mary Lou. And she also went on to say we forced cracks in the government and we have to keep pushing on. Now, they didn't force cracks in the.

Government. but force the cracks in the government was ordinary people, ordinary working people standing up in around the country. It wasn't any party political units or cabal or cult, perhaps, that actually went ahead and pulled up and led the way on forcing through change. Well, it was comes from below, doesn't it? But we won't say anything about that. Mary Lou McDonald, will we? She also went to say that the push should now be on to get.

Sinn Féin candidates elected in the upcoming by-elections, one in Dublin Central and one in Galway West, as well. And she also said that her solution, and Sinn Féin's solution, for the energy cost of living disaster is uh more energy credits and remove the carbon tax to make it life affordable for people. Now, that's interesting because uh energy credits is just a subsidy for the big energy companies, not a transfer of public money upwards in our society.

But, there's no radical departure there, is there, Sinn Féin? And removing carbon tax, they were the same party that called for the introduction of carbon tax. And in the same breath, she spoke about climate justice, but didn't elaborate on what kind of climate justice she's looking for. Perhaps it's the sustainable goal development goals pin that she often wears on her lapel of her jacket. But, um we'll say nothing about that, either. Mary Lou McDonald. Uh she went on, as well, to speak about.

Gaza and said uh von der Leyen's millions on

Gaza and said uh von der Leyen's millions on the billions spent on the arms industry is um against the interests of working people, which I agree with. But, she didn't challenge the nexus of control in terms of the European Union and the further supernational drive of uh the European Union agenda in terms of the superstate. And I should never spoke about mass immigration. Surprise, surprise, surprise. Never spoke about the big employers making massive windfalls, the race to.

The bottom, the change in demographics in Ireland. Not part of the agenda for Mary Lou McDonald. And I never spoke about the out of control homeless figures in Ireland as well. What's um let's move on from that. As she just tried to throw a few sound sound bites out during her 30-minute speech which was broadcast live on the state's propaganda RTE. And remember over the last couple of years, Sinn Féin Johnny Ronan, the one of the developers who have crashed.

“And I never spoke about the out of control homeless figures in Ireland as well”

The economy many years ago, said it was nothing to fear from Sinn Féin's housing policy. And there's been many meetings between those developers and Sinn Féin's housing spokesman, Eoin Ó Broin. And also as well, remember the time Joe Biden came to town. They were all queuing up to shake hands with Biden who started the push towards the proxy war in Ukraine. But no change in the status quo here. Just fully establishment. And remember Sinn Féin went on to speak.

About neutrality. I said it's vitally important for neutrality. Didn't go into the NATO involvement in the occupied six counties. Didn't go on to speak about the already existent deals which which a foreign affairs spokesperson said previously for Sinn Féin that they couldn't retrospectively look at deals that were made with European Union or battle groups in terms of PESCO deals which is a permanent structured cooperation which again really erodes Irish neutrality.

But one point she agreed on with her in terms of what she said was that this should be brought to the people in terms of referendum. Absolutely. The people are the ultimate arbiter. The people are sovereign. But according to many of these globalist parties, they have no interest in sovereignty. No interest in getting taking back control, taking back our own currency, taking back charge of the policy and direction of the state to really build Ireland's future in a.

Positive way that's based on the sovereignty of our people, to put the resources and industries at the top of the agenda for ordinary working people. But that's a little bit of a snapshot of what McDonald was speaking about last night. And then let me know in the comments what you think about what's taking place in the last 24 hours as well. Another poll was released as Sinn Féin are at 25% in Ireland currently leading the other.

Two parties, Fine Gael and Fianna Fáil, by about nine points each. So um other rises as well in the polls are other parties like Independent Ireland as well. So thanks so much for the support and I really appreciate them. And please uh subscribe to my channel. So I'm Donald today. So long and farewell. Take care.

“Just fully establishment”: what Mary Lou McDonald’s conference speech left out.

Sinn Féin holds its annual conference, “Building Ireland’s Future”, at Belfast’s Waterfront Hall, where Mary Lou McDonald delivers a 30-minute leader’s address broadcast live on RTÉ. Dooley goes through it point by point and argues it amounts to sound bites from a party “fully signed up” to the establishment — silent on the International Protection Bill, mass immigration, homelessness and the PESCO deals eroding Irish neutrality.
