Everyone, the Irish political establishment are complete disarray on how to address the ongoing fuel protest movement that's enveloping Ireland. Over the last few days, we've seen the T-shock and the Justice Minister pushing forward plans to try and get the Irish Army on the streets to address these protests. And also, we've seen the Guard the issue exceptional circumstances that members of the Guard the Sheer Conna cannot take leave over the next 3 days.
As well, we've seen the deployment of water cannons heading towards the south of the country as well. And yes, they also we saw the shambles agriculture house in relation to the meeting that was held with representative bodies and government ministers where four representatives of the protest groups were refused admission. Now, the Irish government are really have no interest in dealing with this. They're making matters far far worse. And ultimately, the Irish government have no mandate to be in power anymore.
Because people have had enough and people are standing up to what's taking place right across Ireland. But interestingly enough, the political leaders have been out on the airwaves over the last couple of days and even Mihal Martin has cancelled his 5-day junket to Canada. This is when the doll is due to resume next week after 16 to 19-day Easter break. But Harris interesting remarks on mainstream media yesterday. He spoke and he said that the protesters have made.
Their point. They've been heard and he has heard the pain of people. He said it's it's time now to end the protest and end the blockade. And he's dangling a carrot of a substantial and significant package of measures that's going to be given to people protesting. Isn't this interesting? They won't meet with them, but now they're trying to dangle a carrot to say, "Here's a few crumbs off the table and perhaps you can call off your protests and we've heard your pain.
And all this nonsense issued by Simon Harris." At the same time, he was asked about price caps and he said, "Price caps don't work." And he said the taxpayers are on the hook for price caps. This is interesting, isn't it? Because this goes against the whole market ideology of the neoliberal European Union. Don't intervene in the so-called market. It's sacrosanct, isn't it? It can't be touched. But at the same time, everything has been commodified in Ireland. Everything has been.
Financialized
Financialized. Even your basic needs aren't being met. I spoke in my video yesterday about the Whitegate oil refinery that was privatized under the Fina Fáil and Progressive Democrat government. This was an oil source that we had here in Ireland and it's now owned by a Canadian oil company making massive massive profits. But don't mention the profits made by these very people at the top of society, the big oil oligarchs. Because this is all about price caps don't work because we.
Have to keep the market going. So, those profits are funneled upwards while ordinary people and ordinary working people suffer and are pushed to the pin of the collar. That's why they're standing up. And he said there would be specific support for the agri-food sector. Again, this is more of the divide and rule tactics being pushed out there by the Irish political establishment. Throw a few crumbs and perhaps people will come begging. And he said we have to do this together.
Isn't this the same nonsense we've heard before? The national interest. We all remember that during the whole bank bailout. And he said that he only engages with democratically elected representative bodies. Well, they're bodies that are very well used to being in the corridors of power in terms of many of those of the union movement which have completely sold out the working classes, much the same as many of those representative bodies who are well used to being in the.
Corridors of power and are really part of the system. And actually, what they do is they radicalize any protest movement much the same as the government organizations. So much for people standing up for what's right. It's all it all gets legitimized under the system and fundamentally part of the system to stop people from standing up against the horrors to what's really taking place. And he said the protesters are stopping people from getting to hospital appointments. Well, his government has.
“And he said the protesters are stopping people from getting to hospital appointments”
Stopped people from getting to hospital appointments trying to issue warning shot to people and to try and emotionally attack them in terms of this as well. But Harris, of course, was the was health health minister. What about the scoliosis surgeries and all those people and young children suffering and dying in agony because of missed missed hospital appointments due to his government and due to missed basic medical interventions and treatments and surgeries because under his watch.
But No no nothing to see here. Nothing [snorts] to see about the nearly million people on hospital waiting list. Nothing to see about people waiting up to 5 to 6 years even on basic scans. This won't be talked about by Simon Harris and his whole approach. Nothing to mention about the national children's hospital either. And he said that people will have to end the blockade and the protest and move back. He said people are decent, they're.
Full of common sense
Full of common sense. Step back and we can all work our way through this together. More absolute nonsense from Simon Harris who'll dangle a few carrots and try and say, "Well, listen, this is the way we'll end this together." We've never been in this together. Simon Harris is a young leader for the World Economic Forum. He's only pushing the agenda of the globalists, much the same as Mihal Martin. They have no interest in serving people of Ireland. They've sold off all.
Their resources. They've sold off all their industries. They don't We have no energy security. We have no food security here in Ireland because of the policies of the of successive governments that they're they've been part of. And now at the same time, we need to stand by people who are producing our food, the small farmers, not the big beef barons like Larry Goodmans of this world, the people who are on the ground working hard every day to keep the real.
Economy going and the real society moving. People who have the community at heart as well. That's why we need to stand together as ordinary working people, whether rural or urban, our issues are exactly the same. And it's those at the very top of society who are actually pushing the agenda and throwing the divide and rule and throwing the crumbs to try and bring people to the table. People have had enough of what's going on. We need to take back.
Our sovereignty and take back power into our own great country of Ireland. So, thanks so much for the support on all my videos. Really appreciate them and thanks so much again to Anne for your recent support on buy me a coffee as well. So, Dublin today is Slá na bhFáil. See you soon. Bye-bye.
