Hello everyone, day four of the nationwide fuel protest
Hello everyone, day four of the nationwide fuel protest and this shows no sign of letting up. Now today there was supposed to be a meeting organized according to a number of the protesters between the government and representative organizations including those representing the protest movement right across the country. But this has been a complete shambles from the start because last night on an interview on RTE Tim O'Malley said that no members of the protest group were invited to this.
Meeting. But this was countered by members of the protest group to say that some of the representative organizations were going to bring them alongside them. But as of today the protesters and those representing the protest movement were not allowed into this meeting at Agriculture House on Kildare Street. It's an absolute shambles. It's really like the government don't want to resolve this ongoing disaster. Now over the last couple of days we've already seen the language coming from.
Micheál Martin around trying to get the army on the streets and say this was an act of national sabotage in the blocking of the oil refinery in Whitegate. But in the last 24 hours we've seen many of those peacefully protesting move to the side when emergency oil supplies were taken from those locations which necessitates hospitals, ambulances, and many more who are desperately in need of fuel to exist.
But again, the Irish government have treated the peaceful protesters with complete contempt. Because in Whitegate they sent in the Garda Public Order Unit. Of course, rather than sit down and discuss and invite people protesting to try and get a resolution to what's taking place, they've no interest in it. They're going in with their heavy-handed approach trying to spark some form of confrontation in the Whitegate area of Cork and it's absolutely shambolic to what's happening down there as well. But.
Let's see how this develops as I said over the next number of hours also. But it's interesting in the context of the Whitegate oil refinery in Cork because that was initially state owned by all of us. It was sold off in 2001 by then Minister Mary O'Rourke, part of the Fianna Fáil and Progressive Democrat government that was dead keen on the privatization agenda right across Ireland. Now it's in the hands of a Canadian multinational oil company.
Called Irving Oil
Called Irving Oil. They purchased this refinery a number of years ago and in 2023 they pulled in post-tax profits of nearly 125 million euro. Now this this supplies gas, diesel, and kerosene to Ireland. But of course, this is part of the neoliberal agenda, privatization of our state energy resources. But at the same time the Irish government won't intervene to what's taking place.
Really this has become an an anti-government demonstration, an anti-establishment demonstration in terms of what's taking place currently right across the country. Because the government don't have any interest in serving the people of Ireland or looking after the needs of our citizens. And that's why it's so important that people stand up now to what's taking place right across society and stand up for the interests of the ordinary working people of Ireland. But at the same time we've already seen.
The government responded by trying to come back and say they're trying to get the army on the street, the public order unit being deployed rather than saying, "Well, no, we'll sit down and talk with people protesting and try and come to some form of a resolution rather than a confrontation." Already Micheál Martin has been on the national airwaves talking about this and saying this is unacceptable and so forth and using all kinds of pejorative terms towards the people protesting.
And of course the usual hatchet jobs have been released by the media on various people involved in this protest as well to discredit all this movement. This is typical of anybody stands up against the Irish government. You stand up against the narrative, you're going to be blacklisted, you're going to be smeared. We all remember what they did to people for instance during the the period of COVID where anybody went against the government's narrative in the context of.
The lockdowns which provided cover for the greatest transfer of wealth in society in recent times towards the billionaires and protected the so-called laptop class while many essential workers had to go to work during that period of time, the longest school closures in Europe. And not to mention the discrimination based on your private and personal medical choices. So they've always trying to ram this down the throats of ordinary people and they'd always claim that the right to.
Protest is contingent on whatever they deem as being acceptable. These are absolute rights despite what the constitution states about rights contingent on what they deem as I said is acceptable. And they should be absolute rights and they're God-given rights under the Irish constitution too. But the Irish government won't say that. They'll say it's all about protecting our citizens. It's like they wanted to ferment this crisis, to create it. And it's interesting at the same time because over the last few weeks.
“And they should be absolute rights and they're God-given rights under the Irish constitution too”
We've seen the European Union and even Dara O'Brien
We've seen the European Union and even Dara O'Brien trying to bring forward this energy lockdown plan that I've been discussing. And now they're getting their energy lockdown plan, aren't they, in terms of what's taking place. They say people should monitor what they're buying at the fuel pumps because of so-called shortage and the blockades taking place. And already Martin has been on the airwaves also saying that vessels that are outside Galway port and looking to be docked in.
Galway be because but because of the protest they can't dock and the storage facilities are full in Galway. He said this could be bought now in the international market and sold off somewhere else. Well, actually factually that's not true. But again, in the propaganda war this is what's been pushed out on the mainstream narrative. And and at the same time will instill fear in the population and trying to divide people. This is already happening through the propaganda and the divide.
And rule strategy. Such as people saying, "What are the farmers doing in the streets of Dublin?" Trying to create this urban versus rural divide which is absolute nonsense as well. It's ordinary working people should stand up together whether urban or rural. We stand with people from no matter where you're from in terms of your working class and ordinary working people trying to get by day to day. Already we've heard this language about the city being held ransom, being held.
Hostage and all this nonsense being spun by the government trying to divide people, pit people against each other, and easier then to control population, isn't it? By pitting people against each other. And what's also interesting with this in terms of the government's narrative is they have their own little pet groups to come in to have these negotiations with. Their recognized body bodies properly constituted. And it's interesting as well that the union and the Irish Trade Congress Trade.
Union came out in the last number of days and their head, Owen Reidy, said that the protest is nothing to do with them. Isn't that very, very insightful? So much for the fighting trade unions of Connolly and Larkin that stood up for workers when workers were buttoned and killed on the streets in 1913 by the Dublin Metropolitan Police in concert with the British oppressors. But at the same time we've seen that when workers come together they can win.
And this is what's happening now right across Ireland in terms of people standing up for our sovereignty, standing up for independence, standing up for neutrality, and standing up for the interests of putting the people of Ireland first. And also in the context of standing up that our basic needs are met such as having a dignified existence where you can afford a home, you can have access to a health service, and you can use the resources where your energy.
And food secure
And food secure. As we see widening turmoils in the world and the drive towards an economic collapse of some form this will be form of their approach to try and drive through more draconian legislation. Already they're looking at digital identification. And this is what the globalists want to ultimately achieve and will use this as part of this agenda to force this through and to force their net zero madness on the population also. So let's see how this develops over the.
Next period of time and again please thanks so much for sharing my videos, thanks for supporting my videos, I'm really grateful. And uh please support those who are on the streets standing up for all of our rights because rights rights were struggled and won for, they weren't given to us by any benevolence of a leader. So thanks so much for the support and really the Irish government have absolutely no mandate to govern the people of Ireland anymore after Micheál.
Martin's comment threatening to get the army deployed on the streets of Ireland today with people who are on the breadline and at breaking point here in Ireland struggling with the extortionate increases in fuel costs and notwithstanding all the crises that have been created by the political establishment over the last few years. We've seen the mass immigration agenda hammering working class people most of all. We've already seen the hot and homeless disaster, but again, in our society, money gets funneled upwards.
To those in the well surround surrounded areas of Ballsbridge and those locations where many are completely unaffected and actually control a lot of the policy and direction of the Irish state and have their media friends also as well doing their bit. So, thanks so much for the support and from Dublin today, it's Slán go bhur bhur gcomhair, take care. See you soon.
